Some people who don’t support transgender rights used social media to share their opinions. One person, named Matt Walsh, who talks about politics, told a lot of people that the person in charge, Mills, would be sorry for his decision. He said it was the worst choice Mills made in his career.

Mills, who can’t be in charge for more time because of the rules, talked to other politicians on Monday. He said that even though his family, businesses, and he himself were bothered by others because of his choice, he felt proud of what he did. He called it a really important moment in his time as a lawmaker.
As many as 18 states have made laws that stop or limit certain medical care. Even the states around Louisiana made these kinds of laws. Because of this, people noticed when the decision to not pass the law was made.
After some days of delaying the decision on the law, the state Attorney General, Jeff Landry, who is also trying to become the governor as a member of the Republican Party, and the Republican Party of Louisiana, pushed the Republicans to bring the law back.
